Good day today but a worrisome ending. Drove both horses over to Gaye's. Started with K.D. Saddled her up and borrowed a CC headstall that nicely fit her refined head. We went to the round pen and did lots of circles. Bumped up to a trot working on softening her trot with collection. Eventually, we got to a great point. Meanwhile, Gaye and Peg warmed up their horses so we headed to the woods. K.D. did great. The biggest problem was Quiz who got left behind. The 2 pasture buddies did a lot of calling back and forth. The only "spook" was leaving the woods where K.D. spied 2 white mailboxes that resembled giant polar bears with huge claws!
When we returned, I turned the horses out. I saw them running the pasture several times and even went out to see what was causing them to stop grazing. But later on we discovered her scraped over her head, chest, and all 4 legs. After both Randy and I walked the entire fence row, we found not a speck of hair. The source of all those scrapes remains a mystery.
